The Brandtianum (Silver Leaf Philodendron) is an unusual  type of Philodendron with small heart shaped leaves, if you encourage it to climb up a pole or trellis you will promote faster growth and larger leaves! A really spectacular plant to add to your collection if you’re a fan of silvery leaves and Philodendron.

If you have issues with leaves sticking while emerging, try giving your plant higher humidity!

Please note that due to the sensitive nature of this plant with low humidity conditions, leaves can struggle going through transit – if a leaf is stuck on arrival to us we may trim that growth point back to give it a fresh start. 

Care:

Light: Tolerant of medium light to bright indirect light, however too much light can cause brown, crispy tips on the leaves.

Water: Keep the soil moist at all times, water when the top ⅓ portion of  soil dries out. For best results water from underneath with the use of a saucer to reduce the chance of root rot. Reduce watering during winter months and allow the plant to dry out more.

Food: Feed monthly during the growing season but not during winter.

Humidity: High humidity will produce a happier plant but will tolerate a normal household humidity. A low humidity will cause brown, crispy tips on the leaves.
