If you’re looking for a pet rock with a bit more responsibility, then look no further! These odd little guys are the marmite of the plant community, you either love them or you hate them.

Like other succulents, you are most at risk of damaging this plant by overwatering it. Resist the urge to over-care for your Lithops, allow them to dry out completely between waterings.

Lithop flowers come in white, yellow and orange. They usually go dormant after flowering in order to save  energy before their next growth spurt and leaf shedding.

Looking for something a bit bigger? how about our 8.5cm option.

Care:

Light: Bright sunlight will promote even growth, vibrant colours and bold patterns.

Water: Avoid watering in Summer unless they become very wrinkled (in which case give them a small amount of water), this is their dormant period and they will not grow.

Water thoroughly at the start of Autumn when you notice the first signs of fresh growth or a flower developing. For the rest of this season water when the soil is completely dry.

Avoid watering in winter whilst your Lithops are shedding their old leaves.

Resume a normal watering schedule in spring, allowing the soil to dry out.

Food: Not a requirement but if you choose to; use a light cacti fertiliser in Spring.

Humidity: Will thrive in low humidity.
